How to compare designer bag prices across countries
“Where is this bag cheapest?” is a product-specific question. Make the comparison narrow enough to answer.

Build a shortlist of places you will visit
Begin with your home market and the destinations already on your itinerary. Avoid choosing a destination from a headline about a different product or a past exchange rate.
Use the same variant everywhere
Check size, leather or fabric, color, hardware and reference. A mini, seasonal fabric or different hardware can explain a large apparent price gap. If the match is uncertain, mark it unavailable instead of ranking it.
Date every observation
A price needs a source and an observation date. Recheck close to the purchase, especially when the comparison depends on a small difference. Missing or stale prices are not zero-cost options.
Stress-test the apparent saving
Recalculate with a less favorable exchange rate, a lower net refund and the actual card fee. If the winner changes easily, treat the result as a close decision. Use the public worksheet to see how assumptions affect the total.
Separate research from availability
An official price is useful evidence, but it does not mean a boutique has stock or will reserve an item. Contact the retailer before arranging your shopping day.
